St. Mary's High Academics

In keeping with the mission of St. Mary’s Jr/Sr High School, we strive to provide a superior educational experience for our students while encouraging and enabling each student to reach his/her individual potential. Our faculty consists of a dedicated group of professionals who understand the unique ways in which each student learns best. They teach an academically rigorous curriculum while simultaneously going beyond the classroom walls to provide “real life” experiences. Our students are encouraged to think critically, creatively and independently as they become life-long learners.

St. Mary’s Jr/Sr High School has approximately 150 students who are fully engaged in an atmosphere that values intellectual curiosity, spiritual growth, honor, trust and a respect for diversity. Our academic, athletic, artistic, and community service opportunities available to our students help shape to our students in becoming confident leaders and positive influences within the community in which they live.

There are numerous club offerings, which appeal to individual interests. All students are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities provided to get involved outside of the classroom. In addition to Junior High, Junior Varsity and Varsity level athletics, students can participate in offerings that range from international travel, newspaper, yearbook, performing arts, chess club, just to name a few.

In addition to the core classes which each student must take they also have the opportunity to take Physical Education, Art, SAT Prep, and Introduction to Microsoft Office classes.  These co-curricular endeavors will better enhance each students overall secondary school experience.

The 24 members of the Class of 2008 have already been accepted to attend several colleges and universities including Catholic University, College of the Holy Cross, Assumption College, Anna Maria, Franklin Pierce, University of Massachusetts, Worcester State,  Providence College, and Alma College.  We are very proud of our graduates!

The St. Mary’s community reflects student and faculty commitment to academic excellence, diverse interests, community involvement, leadership opportunities, spiritual growth and trust between the students and faculty alike.  Our students truly live out the school’s mission of

“Non Scholae, Sed Vitae"
(Not Only for School But for life)
