January / February 2009

Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends of St. Mary’s,

I would like to welcome the New Year with a couple of quotes I found:
Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that
experience can instill in us. -Hal Borland

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list    of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we    ought to walk through the rooms of our lives, not looking for flaws, but for potential. - Ellen Goodman

For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.  -T.S. Eliot, "Little Gidding"
You may interpret these quotes however you may like!  Sometimes it’s best to express wishes and thoughts by the words of others.  I would like to wish all a happy new year!

Sincerely,
Michael E. Dudek

Principal
